Four ways to structure it
Most buyers at this level have a preferred structure already. If you do not, tell us how long you expect to own the car and how you would like the equity to sit — we will model the two closest options side by side.
Own it from day one. Fixed rate, fixed payment, open for early repayment at any time. Best when the car is a long-term hold or you would rather build equity than optimize the monthly.
Pay only for the portion of the car you use. Sensible for a two-to-four-year ownership window, for a business that writes the payment off, or when you would like to move into the next one cleanly.
A conventional loan with a residual amount deferred to the end. You keep the title and the flexibility, with a payment close to a lease. Refinance or settle the balloon when it falls due.
Specialist lenders who underwrite on the car’s appraised value rather than its model year. For anything a bank’s system rejects on age alone — air-cooled, analogue, or simply limited.
Payment calculator
Enter any price, or open a vehicle and the calculator arrives prefilled from its listing price. Adjust the figures to see how the payment moves. Approved lenders quote in writing before anything is signed.
Estimate only — not an offer of credit. Excludes taxes, licensing and fees. Actual rate and payment depend on credit approval, lender terms and the vehicle. Lease and balloon structures are quoted by a specialist rather than estimated here.
Buying power
Tell it what you would be comfortable paying each month and what you are bringing to the table. It answers with the price range worth browsing.
Trade-in equity is the value of your current car less anything owing on it. If you would like it appraised first, the trade-in form on any vehicle page takes two minutes.
Estimate only, on approved credit. Excludes taxes, licensing and fees.
How it works
Pre-qualifying is a soft inquiry — it does not appear on your credit file or move your score. A full application is only submitted once you have chosen a car and a structure.
01
The short form below. Name, contact, income band, residence, what you are looking to spend and how. No SIN, no documents yet.
02
A finance specialist comes back with the two or three structures that fit, with real lender rates, and models them against the car you have in mind.
03
Identity, income and insurance are verified through the lender’s own secure portal — never over email. Collector cars add an independent appraisal.
04
Contracts are signed on screen or at the desk, funds move lender to dealer, and the car is delivered enclosed anywhere in the continental US or handed over on the floor.
Pre-approval
Five minutes, no documents, and a soft credit inquiry that does not affect your score. A finance specialist — not an automated decline — reviews every application and replies the same business day.

Questions
Anything not covered here is a phone call away. The finance desk is open showroom hours and picks up.
Call the finance deskNo. The pre-approval form triggers a soft inquiry, which you can see on your own file but lenders cannot, and which has no effect on your score. A hard inquiry only happens when you ask us to submit a full application to a specific lender for a specific car — and we tell you before we do.
If you are comparing dealers, note that several hard inquiries for the same purpose inside a short window are usually treated as one by the bureaus. Even so, we place one application with the lender most likely to say yes, rather than several at once.
Yes, through collector-car lenders who underwrite on an independent appraisal rather than model year. Terms run longer than a bank would offer — up to twelve years on the right car — and the rate is quoted per vehicle. A prime bank will typically decline anything past ten to twelve years on age alone; that is the case we route around.
Both give you a lower payment by deferring part of the car’s value to the end. On a lease the lender owns the car and sets the mileage; you hand it back, buy it or trade it. On a balloon you own the car throughout, there is no mileage cap, and the deferred amount is a final payment you settle, refinance or clear by selling. Businesses often prefer the lease for the write-off; private buyers who keep cars longer usually prefer the balloon.
Every conventional and balloon loan we arrange is open: settle in full or make lump-sum payments at any time with no penalty, and interest stops accruing on what you have repaid. Leases are different — early termination is possible but is priced by the lessor, so ask before you sign if you think it is likely.
It is the most common situation we see. For self-employed applicants, lenders generally want two years of notices of assessment or accountant-prepared statements. For a corporate purchase we will need the articles of incorporation and, usually, a personal guarantee from the principal. Tell us on the form and the specialist will come back with lenders who are comfortable with it.
Anywhere in the US, yes; registration and sales tax are handled for your state and the car is delivered enclosed. For buyers outside the US, financing is not usually available through our lenders, but we regularly handle export purchases paid by wire or through escrow, and can introduce lenders in the United States on request.
Disclosure
Halloway Collection is a dealer, not a lender. We arrange financing and leasing on your behalf with third-party lenders, and may receive a fee or commission from the lender for doing so. This does not change the rate you are offered.
Rates, terms and eligibility are set by each lender, are subject to credit approval, and may change without notice. The calculators on this page are estimates for planning only and are not an offer of credit or a commitment to lend.
Advertised ‘from’ rates apply to the strongest applications on late-model vehicles over a five-year term. Collector-car lending, balloon structures and leases are quoted individually.
