Maintenance
Keeping a build tight
Fitted parts loosen, seal and drain on their own schedule, not the vehicle’s. These are the checks we run on the build and on trailer running gear. We do not service engines or transmissions — the base vehicle’s scheduled maintenance belongs with a dealer or mechanic of your choice.
After the first trip
- Re-torque suspension and armour fasteners
- Ride height and alignment against the install sheet
- Every power-system termination re-checked
- Rack and tent mounts
Each season
- Battery health and charger settings
- Solar input and cable glands
- Tent fabric, zips and seals; awning arms
- Wheel bearings and brake adjustment (trailers)
- Lights and the trailer plug (trailers)
Before a long trip
- Tyres and pressures, spare included
- Recovery points and kit
- Fridge slide and drawer latches
- Coupler, safety chains and breakaway (trailers)
- A walk-round against the install record
Intervals depend on the part and how the rig is used. Follow the maker’s manual for each component; we will tell you if anything we find needs sooner attention.
