Enquiry

Send a rental enquiry

Tell us the class, the dates and the trip. This is an enquiry, not a booking.

  • The rentals desk reads the enquiry.
  • They reply to confirm a rig and dates, or to ask about the trip first.
  • The booking is made when the rental agreement is signed and the deposit is taken.

Dates you send are a request — nothing is held until the desk replies.

Questions

Rental questions

What do I need to rent a rig?

A driver who meets the age and licence terms above, the security deposit, and the cover set out in the rental agreement. The rentals desk confirms each of these when it replies to your enquiry.

Can I tow the Class 03 trailer with my own vehicle?

Yes, if your vehicle meets the towing requirement in the terms above. Tell us what will tow it in the enquiry; the desk checks the rating, hitch and plug before confirming.

Is my enquiry a booking?

No. The dates you send are a request. The desk replies to confirm a rig and dates, or to suggest others. The booking is made only when the rental agreement is signed.

What happens at collection?

A walk-round with the rentals desk: the tent, the power system, the fridge and the recovery kit, and how each one packs away. Everything included is listed on the handover sheet you sign.

Where can I take a rental rig?

The rental agreement sets which roads and areas a rental may use. If your route includes anything unusual, say so in the enquiry and the desk will tell you before you book.

Can I buy the rig I rented?

Rental rigs are sold from time to time and listed in our inventory as ex-rental units. Renting one first carries no credit toward buying it.

What if something stops working on the trip?

Call the on-trip line on the Contact page. It is not a breakdown, recovery or emergency service; in an emergency, call the emergency services first.
